That cover is so beautiful. Yeah, I pretty much feel like I’m past my YA days but every now and then, pretty rarely, I’ll read one. I very much enjoyed the world and the message and the concept in this story, so glad I did pick it up.

This is another book I’d buy and read based on the cover alone. It’s gorgeous.
I never read YA but I can tell this one would be interesting. It’s not often we see books with strong female leads and good world building.

It’s really good. It has so many things I love in it. There’s a kid, a ghost, a bit of horror, and a nice romance. The perfect book for me.

The books sounds so good and I love the accompanying visuals.
I know how nice it is to read something different too, and this book clearly offers that. It also has a lot of what you like… and in one book 🙂

In reply to Cindi. Thanks, Cindi. I know you'd enjoy this book. I hope you get a chance to read it. It's more like that old-school Kray twins (English) style of noir, with magic, than mob so I think that aspect will appeal to you more.

This looks fantastic. I have a tendency to feel sympathy for the anti-hero (as you know) so I know I would with Denny. I can see me really liking Brendan. I’m not normally a fan of organized crime type books but I’m sure I’d love this.

Another well thought out review, John. I agree about the sight hounds, like greyhounds or whippets. They can really go fast and get away or catch their meal.

This is another series that I know I’d love. I can’t tell you the last time I read a good Urban Fantasy book.

Great review. I can tell you enjoyed this one as much as or more than the ones before it.
